This was taken at the main hall of the Air and Space Museum in Washington DC. I got a lot of confused looks while I was shooting photos. I was shooting 7-9 brackets at 8fps because I planned to process them in HDR. Everybody was probably wondering why I was shooting a bunch of pictures of the same scene! It was kind of embarassing but I think it was worth it.

I always look forward for Wednesdays now because I do not have to go to work. I usually can’t wait to head out to my favorite park or beach. Today, however, I have to commit myself to car maintenance and post-processing tons of old photos.

Darn it, I’m hooked with Nik Capture NX 2! I have version 1.3 which I got bundled with the Nikon D300. I made the mistake of trying out version 2. Doh!

I’m so glad I have Sunken Meadow State Park nearby. My only refuge during my day offs!

Me and Tina went to Robert Moses in the hopes of finding an Oystercatcher (Thanks cyclingbill!). We didn’t find any but I was rewarded with this cute little bird. ID please.

Low flying bird

This bird was shot using the cheap Tamron 70-300mm lens. It is my second lens after buying the Nikon D50. I find it sharp and lightweight. The only problem is that it produces chromatic aberrations usually in full sunlight, which, I think is not a big deal as long as the images are sharp and clear.
